About the Journal
Intersecciones en Comunicación is a peer-reviewed, open-access scientific journal published biannually in digital format (ISSN 2250-4184) by the Faculty of Social Sciences at the National University of Central Buenos Aires Province (UNICEN). It publishes original and unpublished articles in the fields of Social Communication, Journalism, and related disciplines. Manuscripts are evaluated through a double-blind external peer review process. The journal does not charge Article Processing Charges (APCs) at any stage, nor does it offer monetary compensation to authors. Submissions must be unpublished, not under simultaneous review elsewhere, and limited to 20 pages including tables, charts, and figures. The journal is intended for researchers, faculty members, and undergraduate and graduate students.
Editorial Evaluation and Responsibility
Manuscripts are evaluated through a double-blind peer review process conducted by external reviewers not affiliated with the publishing unit. The full process—from evaluation to publication—has an estimated duration of six months. The journal reserves the right to reject submissions that do not meet its scientific or editorial standards.
Article Processing Charges Policy
Intersecciones en Comunicación does not charge any Article Processing Charges (APCs) at any stage of the editing or formatting process. Authors will not receive any monetary compensation from the journal.
Code of Ethics and Responsible Use of AI
Intersecciones en Comunicación adheres to the editorial practices of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and also to the Heredia Declaration, which promotes the ethical use of artificial intelligence in scientific publishing, with human responsibility and transparency.

Submissions must include the following personal details for each author: full name, research areas or fields of interest, current institutional affiliation, postal address, email address, and ORCID identifier.
License
The license applied is CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 International, which allows sharing (copying and redistributing the material in any medium or format) and adapting (remixing, transforming, and building upon the material) under the following terms: attribution (credit must be given to the original author), non-commercial use (the material may not be used for commercial purposes), and share alike (derivative works must be distributed under the same license).
Authors retain full publishing rights without restrictions.
